Mgr. Richard Uhlíř
Mgr. Richard Uhlíř (*1982) je absolventem chlapeckého sboru Boni pueri, kde také získal své první sbormistrovské zkušenosti vedením přípravných oddělení. Jako sbormistr absolvoval několik soutěží a zahraničních zájezdů (Itálie, Slovensko ad.). Několik let byl také asistentem sbormistra hlavního sboru, s kterým natočil řadu CD a absolvoval významná zahraniční turné (Japonsko, Jižní Korea ad.). Do roku 2003 studoval hudební výchovu na Univerzitě Hradec Králové, v roce 2008 vystudoval hudební vědu na Palackého Univerzitě v Olomouci. Ve svém studiu se zaměřoval zejména na teorii kompozice, sborovou tvorbu a na interpretaci moderní hudby skladatelů 20. a 21. stol. V roce 2003 byl jedním ze zakládajících členů Vokálního souboru Gentlemen Singers a od roku 2004 je jeho uměleckým vedoucím. Se souborem natočil sedm alb, z nichž téměř všechny byly oceněny širokou odbornou veřejností. Nahrávka Contemplatio Caeli (2012) – soudobé duchovní hudby, získala nejvyšší možné ocenění v prestižním hudebním časopise Harmonie. Poslední vánoční nahrávka O Nata Lux je kladně hodnocena nejen v Čechách ale i v zahraničí. Se souborem Gentlemen Singers získal mnoho ocenění na předních světových soutěžích. V roce 2011 vyhrál se souborem dvě první místa v duchovní i světské kategorii na soutěži Tolosa Choral Contest. Během více než 20 let spolupracoval s mnoha předními umělci, orchestry a skladateli (I. Bittová, J. Krček, J. Vičar, M. Štryncl, G. Pecková, L. Brabec, Musica Bohemica, Filharmonie Hradec Králové, Hradišťan, Epoque Quartet ad.). Od roku 2008 do roku 2018 byl ředitelem festivalu Sborové slavnosti • Czech Choir Festival • Hradec Králové. Dnes působí ve vedení tohoto festivalu jako umělecký ředitel.
Mgr. Richard Uhlíř is a graduate of the boys‘ choir Boni pueri, where he also gained his first experience as a choirmaster by leading preparatory choirs. In this role, he has participated in several competitions and tours abroad (Italy, Slovakia, etc.). For several years, he was also the assistant choirmaster of the main choir, with which he recorded a number of CDs and undertook important international tours (Japan, South Korea, etc.). Until 2003 he studied music education at the University of Hradec Králové and in 2008 he graduated in musicology at Palacký University in Olomouc. During his studies he focused mainly on composition theory, choral music, and the interpretation of modern music by 20th and 21st century composers. In 2003 he was one of the founding members of the Gentlemen Singers vocal ensemble and since 2004 he has been its artistic director. He has recorded seven albums with the ensemble, almost all of which have been highly acclaimed by the general public. The recording Contemplatio Caeli (2012), a recording of contemporary sacred music, received the highest possible award by the prestigious music magazine Harmonie. O Nata Lux, recorded last Christmas, is highly acclaimed not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. With the Gentlemen Singers, he has won many awards at leading international competitions. In 2011, the ensemble won two first prizes in both the sacred and secular category at the Tolosa Choral Contest. Over more than 20 years he has collaborated with many leading artists, orchestras and composers (I. Bittová, J. Krček, J. Vičar, M. Štryncl, G. Pecková, L. Brabec, Musica Bohemica, Hradec Králové Philharmonic, Hradišťan, Epoque Quartet and others). From 2008 to 2018, he was the director of the Czech Choir Festival – Hradec Králové. Today he is the artistic director of the festival.

Jaké jsou hlavní potřeby českých pěveckých sborů a jejich sbormistrů? Pokusíme se nabídnout přehled praktických kroků, jak tyto potřeby naplnit. Probereme témata financování, zázemí, vzdělávání, modernizace repertoáru i účinné metody propagace. Ukážeme inspirativní příklady z domova i ze světa a zaměříme se na roli Asociace sbormistrů, z. s., jako klíčového partnera v této oblasti. Cílem je nejen pojmenovat výzvy, ale i nastínit řešení, která mohou pomoci ke kvalitnímu rozvoji českých pěveckých sborů a podpoře jejich sbormistrů.
What choirs and choirmasters need – the civic association Association of Choirmasters
What are the main needs of Czech choirs and their choirmasters? We will try to offer an overview of practical steps to meet these needs. We will discuss the topics of funding, background, education, modernisation of repertoire, and effective methods of promotion. We will show inspiring examples from home and abroad and focus on the role of the Association of Choirmasters as a key partner in this area. The aim is not only to name the challenges, but also to outline solutions that can help the quality development of Czech choirs and support their choirmasters.
